ALLNUTRITION NAC, or N-acetyl L-cysteine, is a modified form of cysteine from acetyl group. Cysteine is one of the endogenous amino acids (i.e., those which can be synthesised by the body itself), containing sulphur. L-cysteine (together with glutamine and glycine) is also essential for the synthesis of glutathione – a powerful systemic antioxidant.
